2.Why can't we just host our site on the server in our office?
To make your server available to requests from the world wide web, you'd have to expose it and its components in ways that would create security vulnerabilities. Also, unless you have an unusually fast (read: expensive) internet connection, your web site would be slow, and its traffic would make the internet access in your office uncomfortably slow. All to save a few hundred dollars a year?
3.$24.95? Can't we get web hosting for $9 a month?
Yep. You sure can. We don't pretend to be the cheapest option on the web. But you won't encounter a computerized, off-shore phone tree when you call our support number. Promise.
4.But our email is hosted elsewhere.
That's okay--just point your WWW host record to our server, and we'll handle your web site while your email stays where it is. Or point your whole domain to our domain name servers, and we'll make sure your all-important MX records keep pointing where they need to.
5.Can you register my domain name?
Sure. We can register it if you know it's available, or we can check availability on some variations if it's not. Registration fees are billed separately.
6.Can you help move my web site from our old host?
Sure can--we do this all the time. Happy to help out at no charge, unless some third-party custom components stump us (yes, we are stumpable).
